I've been reading Metal Maniacs for about six years now, and I must say it so far the only-mass distributed US metal magazine that captures the essence of continental Europe's periodicals. The focus is on real metal (i.e. death, thrash, black, power) with soem occasional features on hardcore and crust bands, but no emo/metalcore bands. This is for readers whose tastes are more European, i.e. underground, "long hair" metal and no wimpy, trendy BS.
